I Have an apptmt on May 12th and i have send all the required docs to mumbai today, i am a bit confused with the photo.

Do they really look at all the photo requirements very seriously? I don't the photo that I had was between 1 1/8 and 1 3/8 inches from eye-level to the bottom it was b/n 1 and 1 1/8 would that be a problem? Any experiences?

hi

the photo should be 50mm x 50mm on a plain white background. or 2 inch by 2 inch. Go to Konica or similar photo color labs nera the Consulate and tell them for a US visa. They will do a good job.

to the Extent that!!

... and yes they are pretty strict about photo requirement.

I know I might be asking too much, but in your opinion do you think they would reject mine in this scenario.

My photo was upto specification but my wife's photo was not, lady at the counter just told her "be careful with photo next time". However it might not happen all the time so you need to be careful.

if you are in india go to a regular photo studio and tell him you want it for US visa. he is awrae of the size and will develop your phhoto accordingly

if you are in the US go to COSCO / WALMART / WALGREENS and take a passport size photo. the consualte will accept the photo.

I did the second option all the times and it was accepted during my H1 stamping at Mumbai as well as Mexico.
