Photo for the new online DS 160

While doing my DS 160 online, the appointment system did not accept my photo. So, I tried to upload another photo which was taken at home by my wife and surprisingly it got uploaded/accepted. I am worried thinking that when I would go for visa interview, the interviewer could raise an issue about the uploaded photo. I plan to carry another professionally taken photo with me in case the interviewer is not happy with the photo on my application. Can interviewer not accept the new photo at the time of interview and deny my application?

While I cannot imagine the application being rejected due to an issue with the photo (unless it is especially blurry or poorly framed), stranger things have certainly happened. You are doing the right thing by bringing the original image with you, but I would not worry about it too much. Unless the interviewer is having a particularly bad day, I don't expect it will be much of an issue.
