does anyone have any idea if they are processing July 2002 yet???
thanks

No news...
Mine is a July 2002 case.
I believe we saw a few June 2002 cases being certified.
There are May 2002 cases that have not been certified.
So no idea when they will get to July 2002 cases.

I am going nuts waiting on my labor cert to go through.
do you know how to get the philadelphia number for your case???
i never got one, my lawyer is too busy to call and check up on my case.
i emailed this address 'status@phi.DFLC.US', but no reply.

PBEC vicitms shud send letters to Stephen Stefanko (Head of the Certifying Officers

If PBEC is doing random approvals like this,We all should send Letter to Stephen Stefanko (Head of the Certifying Officers at PBEC) about the inconsistency in the labor approvals. There are so many pending LCs applied in 2001 and 2002 in PBEC. They are just opening a box and certifying 2003/2004 cases and DBEC is working 2004 cases.

Visa/I -485 dates are moving fast. (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/b...letin_2847.html) For ex INDIA EB2 cases 01JUL02

If 485 dates are moving faster than the PBEC approvals, From march to april visa dates for EB2 category moved from jan 2002 to July 2002. All the people applied for LC in 2001 and 2002 and did not get their LCs approved are at greater loss. We were already working in same company for more 4 years and with not much time left on H1 visa. So if some thing happens to our job/Company (Layoffs). we have to simply pack our bags and go home.

We all should write letters to the PBEC about this situation ASAP.

Sub: Delay in Foreign Labor Certification Application approval process at BECs

I would like to bring it to your attention the delays in LCA approval process at the two BECs, most notably the Philadelphia. I have been waiting for almost 2 years since the commencement of two BECs and have not recieved our apporvals.

Me and my family are suffering constantly due to these delays. Please take necessary measures to speed up the approval process.

I would be highly obliged if you look into this matter as soon as possible.

Philly vs Dalas: a letter

Please send this message to relavent people

to: secretaryelainechao@dol.gov
subject: bring your attention to some interesting numbers

Hi, Dear Ms. Chao:

I think that you will be very interested in what I will reveal to you in this email.

For Labor Certifcation, there are currently two Backlog Elimination Centers: Dallas & Philadelphia. An online tracker showed some interesting data. The online tracker can be considerred as a survey. Among this sample, 770 cases in Philadelphia and 756 in Dallas (as of March 24, 2006).

The survey showed that Dallas has processed 49.7% (376) of its cases , whereas Philadelphia has only processed 19.5% (150) of its cases. That means that

1) Philadephia works less than half efficiently than Dalas (39.2% efficient as Dalas to be exact).

2) If Dalas can finish its work in 2 years, Philadephia will finish its work in 5.1 years.

That is why on the tracker, you see latest approvals from Philadelphia are 2002 cases, while latest approvals from Dalas are 2004 cases.

If Philadelphia is telling you that they are doing things differently and they will pick up speed later, it is a lie. The reason is sample: both centers have sent out same amount of 45-day letters (Philadelphia sent out 74.3% of its cases and Dallas 71.3%).

I sincerely think that you want to do something about it.

Best regards to you and your family.
