Petitioner Retire (I-864)
My mom field an Immigration petition for brother in 2006. We got approval from USCIS and NVC visa available and Affidavit of Support Processing Instructions. How ever my mom retires on April 2010. She has last 3 years income and joint sponsor. My mom doesn’t work now. Please advice me regarding this issue
 
She is collecting both, Retire money + SSI , She have relative who can help for join sponsor, join sponsor's have more than enough income. please Advise me..
 
Pension income can be used for the I-864. If that is not enough, she can add Social Security. Only $18,213/year* is needed, so she probably won't need a joint sponsor.


*more if she has other dependents, lives in Alaska or Hawaii, or there is an unterminated I-864 or I-864A which she filed for someone else
