About Who Should Sign the Petition

Hi All:

I've seen some signatures with cases of a 2002 RD as late
as Sept, 2002. There is no delay with these cases.

This petition, to my understanding, is for those who experience
severe delays. Those who recently submitted their I-485 should
not sign the letter. Am I right?

BTW, I don't see a mark "New" on the petition letter page. Where
is it?

you are right. Only those whose cases have been delayed should sign the petition.

The "New" is at the front page of http://www.immigration.com. You do not have to open that page. The other link mentioned above should point you directly to the petition page, which is where you want to go.

BTW, I got the response from VSC 2 weeks after I called 800 number. Here is what they say:

"The processing of your petition/application has been delayed. All petitions/applications received by this Service are required to have routine security checks that are resulting in delays of the adjudication of petitions/applications. As a result of the manpower to complete the checks in a timely manner, we have no control over how long these checks will take. We apologize for the delay."

Anybody received the same thing? Looks like no point to call BCIS. Only a waste of their effort and your time.

looks like not that many people whose case passed 540days and not approved

Only a few people signed the petition

fanshan, could you request the moderator to make the link to the petition as Important so that it will be catch the attention of those. like me, who may have missed your original thread.

re:petition

Is it possible to hide the name in the petition? I just don't want my name showed to all the world. Of course , I will use my real name when i fill in the petition form.

Waiting for the 180 day rule coming or still do the petition,

Many people asked Rajiv for the petition form, now it is in place, please sign.

Petition Letter

Hi fanshan:

The petition letter looks great. I have one minor comment about
the cosmetics:

There should be a blank line separating the paragraph beginning
from "We invite your attention..." from its previous paragraph.

For the rest part of the letter, there is a blank line separating
every two adjacent paragraphs. This formatting rule should be
consistently applied throughout.

If you can't make the change, no big deal.

Clueless123, i thought you were the coordinator with Rajiv.

Can you cordinate with Mr Rajiv Khanna from now on so that further actions are taken when it is due?

Clueless, any clue who is conducting the security check, per letter from VSC answering my 800 call, it seems that VSC itself is doing that, is that right?

I just contacted Rajiv's office about this.

I think the government agencies are conducting the security
check. The delay is caused by these agencies not getting back
to VSC about security check.

Don't understand what you mean by "per letter from VSC
answering my 800 call"

Clueless, do you know if your case is assigned to officer after the check or before the check. can you ask Rajiv? Thanks!

clueless, "per letter from ..."

means I called BCIS 1-800 number, VSC replied me two weeks later, for content, see my previous post. The letter is signed by VSC center director: Paul Novak
