Petition filed for wife and child

I have filed two separate petitions, one for my wife and one for my daughter. The petitions were filed with a gap of almost 2 years in between. The reason being, my daughter was not born yet the first time I filed a petition for my wife. I filed my daughter's petition a few months after her birth.

For both cases, USCIS sent me a Receipt Notice but I only received an approval notice for my wife. My daughter's case has been on a pending status for 2 years now.

I recently received notification from NVC that my wife's petition is already sent to the US consular office in our country. I submitted all required documents and what's left is just the interview and medical examination.

My main concern now is this, my daughter is only 3 years old and I want her to join my wife when she comes over. What are available options I can consider to make this possible?

Addendum

Hello to everyone reading this thread,

Just adding some data to my original post.

My wife's petition was filed in June 2004 and approved in April 2005. NVC notified us of IV Fee Agent last June 2008. After paying the processing fee, NVC has sent request for further requirements. So far, I have supplied all requirements including the Affidavit of Support.

However, for my daughter, I filed her petition in January 2006. All I have until now is the Receipt Notice USCIS sent in 2006.

Given the circumstances, I want to know what are my available options to expedite my daughter's case?

I would sincerely appreciate any feedback on this matter. Thank you very much in advance.

It appears that in some cases your wife has to wait to join you till your daughter's case is approved. Harsh, isn't it, but if USCIS were to allow for flexibility in such cases there will be chaos in an already chaotic organization.

i do not know but you can look that imformation yourself, the provisions and everything, but take your time and do not rush the answer...........
