permanent vs temporary green card question

I have a question....
If you are the spouse of a US citizen, you can apply for your citizenship three years after your GC is approved. How does that work for a termporary GC?

Do you have to wait 2 yrs(to make a temporary GC permanent) + 3 years = 5 yrs to apply for citizenship?

Or is it 2 yrs(to make a temporary GC permanent) + 1 year = 3 yrs to apply for citizenship?

3 years for citizenship are counted from the day your conditional GC is approved.
