My perm application was to be filed next week but there has been a Layoff in my company yesterday.Can my application still be filed or everytime there is a lay off a waiting period of 6 months comes into effect.

There is a question on ETA 9089 (PERM application) that asks whether the employer has had any lay offs in the past 6 months. If yes, then the employer must consider all laid off workers for your LC job and maintain documentation to prove that they considered the laid off workers.

In my opinion, the possibility of an audit query increases when the employer mentions that there has been layoff in the company.
