PERM Total Time to get a Green Card

Hello,
My green card process has started several months ago when my company started to advertise my job. The process should wrap up this month. I am an engineer with a Bachelor's degree. My question is that typically how long does it take to get a green card under PERM process?
 
What category have you applied under? EB2 or EB3 and what country are you from? Based on these two fators the time can vary drastically.
 
EB3. I have my BS in engineering. I was born in Malaysia. How long does it normally take to earn a GC?
 
In today's climate, it will be between 3 years to 7, 8 years depending on how retroression is resolved, as well as how long your name check takes.
