Hi, I can tell you what happens because i work for an immigration lawyer and I myself in the PERM process.
Your employer must send an answer to all of them that qualify. it is better to look well at thei resume because sometimes seem that they qualify but an expert eye can reduce the number of applicants by finding little reasons of disqulification. For example, are they all willing to work full time? do they already have the master, or the 2 years experience in the exact same field?
then, a trick,is answer to all people who applied trough AJB and trash most of people who answer by a simple ad in newspaper or website. The PERM officer can track only the answers arrived by AJB but there is not way to track those who reply to advertising.
