PERM Labor Regs and WHEN is it finally going to START?

Hi Guys, many heads make good opinion? I am going NUTS waiting for PERm to be introduced. I was on a visa waiver, I put in an application under LIFE 245, the employer wnet bust 2 yrs after waiting for, OK I have a prior "approvable" date to grandfather but hell hpw much longer must i vegitate. ANY other ideas, any have ANY "approved" jobs I could apply for, thats for me AND my Russian girlfriend. Life is not good for us at the moment and we need a hand up here.
Any kind sole out there to advise, push, kick or assist would be nice to move forward. I have made millions of dollars over the years for others and wanted to make a new start here for ourselves.

thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I have to say I was surprised by his pessimism/reality. Everything I have been told by lawyers in TX, DC and VA is to expect it when it comes, BUT they believe the middle of the summer, Aprril at the earliest, JulyAug at the latest. We can but hope and pray.

I have been listening to this(PERM) for more then 4 years now. Let us hope to see something more come up.

I thought TX has only cowboys, DC is just beuraucratic and VA doesn't knows if it is not North or South or Both or None. I wouldn't trust any of those. Just wait and watch.

P.S. I feel easy using Hindi, English, Spanish, French, Portugese, German, Bengali, Konanki, Marathi, Punjabi, Haryanvi, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Gujarati. Russian, Japanese and Chinese are my weak ones.

PERM is likely to start by the end of 2004. Budget has been approved, though it is still a long wait. I'd tend to agree with Jharkhandi, even end of 2004 is, well, optimistic at best. Even if it starts at that point, it is not a fact of matter it will help everybody. When one is building Noeh's Arc, one has to cut down some trees, u know. Not a bright perspective for those trees.

I do not beleive PERM will be implemented this year. Also I do not believe the new PERM regulations will be published this year. In any case if you think PERM is good, it might be a a wrong idea.

Right, nobody knows who will be affected by PERM and in what way, though, usually my phylosophy was to choose a Horrible End over an Endless Horror
