PERM GC with Kamlesh Tewary

Hi Guys,

The company which I currently work with, has a Kamlesh Tewary as a lawyer. He made the petition for my H1B transfer and it got a query because of some missing evidence which the lawyer forgot to provide. Hopefully, this should be resolved.

This incident makes me to lose trust on the expertise of this lawyer. I am now in a doubt whether to proceed for PERM (EB2) GC with this lawyer.

I need some sincere suggestions from you regarding this lawyer. If anyone has bad experiences, pls let me know.

Does anyone suggest me to go with the law offices of Rajv. S. Khanna, instead of this Kamlesh Tewary? Or do you think anyone is Ok.

Your suggestions at this time are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Surya.

Attorney reputation comes from word of mouth. If an attorney screw up a simple H1, you have genuine doubt about him.

Better go With Rajiv, atleast you will get individual attention. If you find he is not doing your work properly (he is not such an attorney), you can post your experience, he will loose his business.

Obviously, since this is a message board under this attorney's name, people will recommend him. There are a LOT of immigration attorneys out there. Advice? Do your homework and talk to your friends who have had good experiences with other lawyers.
H1's are not difficult applications unless you have a very obscure degree, a suspected fraudulent degree, or bizarre experience history.
Here are some firms I know of :

www.fragomen.com - they are a large firm, so i don't know if you'd get a lot of attention... I have heard some people complain that their status queries are basically lost in a black hole with them
www.insvisa.com - I have heard that their prices are very low in comparison to most of the other law firms, and the work is good
www.usvisahelp.com - the attorney used to work for the ins, so supposedly he knows how their minds work

I have heard of a lot of other ones, but not that I would actually recommend. Most of the experiences I hear of are "getting-ripped-off" stories, so there's no way I'd even list those people's information here.

And, you can always go to aila.org and click on "find a lawyer" to see all of the AILA approved members.

Good luck!
