...wake up and see the reality. They(BCIS) let us down several times in the past and this is no different. I would be the happiest man if they really mean it but does it make any sense? How can they say 'its taking between 30 and 90 days to process' for a case that was received in December 2001. What is the state of mind of these people?

Please lets not get our hopes too high, as there is no sensible reason for us to.

Sorry if I sounded very pessimistic.

It seems BCIS wants to confuse the 485 applicants before moving processing time s to 630 to 690 days or so.

As they are telling about reducing the processing times, they may be not comfortable to increase the processing times without doing this type of gimmicks.

I can uderstand the agony of my fellow 485 filers after seeing the new message.

But I wonder how people becoming too much optmistic in their postings.

Believe me they don't reduce the processing time cosiderably, unless economy picks up.

Most of this year they play safe game by putting the processing time at any means more than 18 months.

If any body want to put hopes less than this time frame, they should rethink twice.

I think that it's going to be 630-690 days. I am not being pessimistic. Actually I 'm being optimistic, since I will be completing 570 days soon and if the change in processing dates is only to that extent (60 days), I'll settle for that and go back to calculating days left again.

I filed my AOS in Nov 2001 (RD 11/29/01) and even as per the updated posting of 630 - 690 days, I've waited for much beyond 630 days and I shall be completing 690 days on 10/20/2003. Should I become optimistic as I'm closing to 690 days! I don't know.

I spoke with IIO on Friday she stated that it is taking 26 months to process AOS --> Very bad isn't it but keeping this information in mind can we trust what is there on web I doubt.
