People who got GC stamped at Newark.. Please reply

My approval letter is for CIS office in Arlington VA. I stay in NJ,

From what i have read on this forum I can go to the Newark office for stamping. My question is can I go on any day or only on Wednesdays?

You can get the stamping without appointment and without standing in a long line only on Wednesdays. You can use the entrance at the side of the building if you go on Wednesday for I-551 stamping.

I am not sure if you can stamp using I-485 approval from VA. You better double check with your sources. This could also impact the time frame for issuing plastic card.

Thanks for the response. If I go to VA, they'll see my DL which has an NJ address, may ask me to go to NJ.

Always show EAD instead of D/L

If you have one...EAD is better recognised in all the BCIS offices, also they just need this to verify your photo and your face, I did not encounter at any place anyone looking at the Address when I went to stamp the pp. Though I went to the NJ office with NJ residence, I do carry my Illionis licence, since I have not changed in NJ so far.
