pending RFE cases since May, any one in the same boat?

I\'m in the same boat. AVM updated the RFE reply on the middle of July. Till now, no news. Weiqi and other RFE guys: Do you have any methods to contact INS? Would your lawyer like to send a fax inquiry for you. My lawyer is very stubborn, he won\'t fax for me, he thinks the case is normal.
Update your case in this site when you have any news. ---Johnson

Hi, Johnson Chen, I did not call INS. I don\'t know if this will help.
Because the JIT is 01/98, and I am really not sure if it\'s good
to call them. I called them twice, once before they gave me RFE,
after I called them in Feb, I got RFE. The second time is the RFE
did not get updated in AVM for a long time, and shortly I called
them AVM got updated. So I am worrying that the first call triggered
the RFE.
BTW, it is very hard to reach INS, you have to keep dialing for hours
to get through the line. Always busy.

Same Boat
I am in the same boat. AVM for RFE was updated on August 14th but so far no news on approval. My lawyers have been calling every two weeks and each time they are told that the case is pending. Recently there was a posting saying that from September 10 all the RFE cases will be processed but apparently that din\'t hold true. My RD was 12/00. Goodluck guys.

My RD is 10/00, ND is 11/00. Got an RFE for new/amended I140 in 04/01. New I140 was already filed 03/01. The RFE was replied with receipt of new I140. AVM updated 05/01. I140 approved 08/01. No news since then. Folks, this is really frustrating.
As far as RFE is concerned the rule holds like this:
"After INS receives the reply for an RFE they are supposed to make a decision on the case within 90 days. If they do not then one can send them FAX inquiry in the interval of 15 days till INS replies back to it."
