Pending N-400 Decision

I went to Los Angeles for N400 interview on 07/30/09;
I pass the English test, but the IO questioned about the adoption of my two nieces on the N400 application. The adoption was finalized and approved by the judge back in Jan 2005. My nieces came here on Visitor VISA on July 2003 when there were 13yo.
They lived with me since July 2003 till March 2009 and they went back to our home country and not able to come back because of VISA issue.
The IO want me to write down a statement about the adoption process, to show him that this adoption is not a fraud. I looked for an attorney to help me for this issue. TThe attorney help me to submit all the information requested by the IO on Aug 20. It is almost 60 days from the date I submitted the information, I still have not received any response at all.
I am really frustrated about this process. Could someone tell me what should I do. Thanks.

First realize that they have up to 120 days to give you an answer.
Have you gone for an Infopass since your interview to inquire about your case?

I have not made any infopass yet, but i called two times and talked to 2nd level IO, they said it is still pending for decision.
Will infopass help to expedite the process?

From my experience, you may only try. Sometimes they do have additional answers for that. Also they may only have the same answer as the 2nd level IO. However, you can ask more questions at infopass or if the IO has any suggestions.

Not necessarily, but since your file is at DO, Infopass will enable IO to directly look at your file. Also, you can request to speak with a supervisor during Infopass.
