The following message is displayed online for my i-485 application.
I have done my finger prints on 01/21/03; and this message was placed on 06/04/04, I don’t understand why it took them so long to update the message.
Does it mean my case is under processing and decision will be made very soon? or just I don’t get my hopes up !

Current Status:
"On January 24, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made".

Not necessarily, but they must have received approval on your fingerprinting which is a good sign. Many cases dont see that, you
just go the next stage.

I waited for 14 months since my 1st FP (Dec2002) for the message to change. Now I have received notification for second FP (sometime in mid July). No clue what the USCIS process is all about.
 
I'm in the same boat

Took them 17 months to update the status from "FP sent" to "received and resumed", I did my first FP in Dec '02.

Just received my 2nd FP appointment for June '04.

Don't think anyone has touched the file or they would have noticed my son is now old enough to also require FP. I think it's just routine after your last FP expires.
