Pending Asylum for Insufficient Address!

Hello,

I applied asylum and had my interview scheduled on February 2. The interviewer didnot gave me interview saying I need to give more address proof to prove I live in that jurisdiction. I sent them bank statements and phone bills immediately. But Ever since (more than 6 months), I havenot received anything.
When I call them they say its pending and even the inquiry says same thing.
Anyone have similar case like mine? Any options I have? My EAD clock is stopped that day too, I am not eligible for it. :(;)

This is my ninth months and still waiting. I am not even eligible for EAD because they think the delay is caused by me.

Which immigration office are you in? You can call the office and give them their Alien number and they will tell you if its still pending or not.
I didnot transfer to another immigration office because they said it will be more delay if you do that.
 
Reschedule time doesn't count for EAD

But they should have given you a letter stating that they need further material and it's not you who want a reschedule. I also wonder if the waiting time will count for EAD. It's just unreasonable if it doesn't count.

Mine is in LA. The officer asked for non-enrollment statement from my school which is ridiculous that they can actually check my registration status in their internal system. And my lawyer said that this officer might just doesn't want to interview and want to get off early on a Friday afternoon. And yes, I was told the same the transfer will cause delay. But considering that you've already waited for 9 months...

I don't know. The whole thing is bizarre.

Same here in LA as well. Call 714-808-8000 and press 0 for customer service.

I was told the time is not counted towards EAD. I know its weird since I ask them everytime if they want any documents, they saidthey dont. Its them who are delaying and yet they dont start the clock for EAD.

Take it easy, PM me, we might have gotten same officer or issue. :)
