pending 485, until when can i bring a spouse from india

My 485 is pending, and my priority date is July 2003 EB3. I am still on H1 even though i have my EAD with me. Until when can i bring a spouse from India without having to apply for her while she is in india. I am just trying to understand my options..

You can bring your spouse in H4 visa if both of the following conditions satisfy:
1. Your H1 visa is valid.
2. Your I485 is not approved.
 
what happens then if i switch to EAD

What happens if I switch to EAD status, and my 485 is still not approved. Would i still be able to do the same, or is that a problem?

Have you applied in concurrent. It looks your priority date is july 2003.
Does it mean that you got approved before dec 30, 2004 and applied concurrent. Or did you use any subs. labor Thanks

If you switch to EAD (i.e. getting a job using EAD card), your H1 becomes invalid. In that case, your spouse won't be eligible for H4 visa.
 
any workaround if on EAD

so is there any workaround to bring her here, if I am on EAD other than using the H4 visa??

She can come in any dual intent visa (non-dependent) - e.g. H1, L1 - provided she is eligible for that.
