My I-485 case is pending with Vermont since last June. Recently, I heard that pending I-485 cases in Vermont are being moved to Nebraska. Does anyone know on what basis does a pending case get moved.

Also I have to renew my EAD, I am going send my application to Vermont. What happens to my EAD if my I-485 gets moved to Nebraska while my EAD is under process with Vermont.

I am applying 120 days ahead of EAD expiration, so if my EAD gets delayed I must atleast able to obtain interim EAD, correct.

Thanks

EAD: apply over the internet, USCIS job site. Missouri Service Center will send u the card valid for 01 year from the date was expired.
I-485: remains untouched in VSC if u r an EB3. Approving, right now, Asylum, EB1 and EB2 cases.
I-140: if still not approved in VSC, problably will be transferred to NSC or TSC. VSC and CSC are working on I-129.

what I know

Are you saying that EB3 cases are untouched and VSC is working on EB2 and EB1 etc based on the pattern of approvals you are seeing on this forum or do you have any some other information that u could share with this group?

AFAIK if you PD is not current then VSC is moving/will move 485 applications to NSC or TSC. All future 485 applications go to these centers too (not sure about EB3 apps but I think they will go to these SCs also).

If your PD is current VSC will clear off existing cases in the pipeline.
