Hi Folks,
I am back to this forum after a break. Looks no good for people in the same boat as I. People with NDs in 12/01 to 02/02 seem to be ignored by BCIS!! These cases are still dormant!! But people with ND as of 4/02 seem to be rocking!! And agonizingly, mine seems to have taken a step behind.
I was last finger printed on 3/1/03. Sometime in March, when I checked the 1-800#, the AVM said the following:-
"On March 5, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."
But from April until now, the AMV and the online case status have gone one step behind and says:
"On February 12, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting that you appear for fingerprint recording. The notice also gave the times and location where this processing could be done. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours."
Something seems to be going wrong with my case because this backward regression doesn't make sense at all!
When I talked to IIO today, she didn't know anything more. It lloked to me that she was literally seeing the online status screen and giving me the same rotten information! She couldn't say anything more meaningful. She said that currently it's taking 20 months to process I-485 applns. So, when I asked her that I would like to know what happens after the 20 month period, she said she didn't know. I just sent an email to CSC but I don't think they'll reply back.
Anyone had this problem??? Please post your similar experiences.
Thanks,
SMG
