I had filed for my I-485 a month ago. I have received the receipts. My 6 years of H1B expired on Dec 31st 2001, but my I-94 is valid upto Oct 2002. Do I need to extend my H1B in order to keep working. I have not received my EAD yet. My lawyer says that I can continue working on my H1B since it is valid until the I-94 expires (But I have also completed 6 years on H1). What are my options?
