did he call the ins before and after?
did he talk to his lawer, what did his lawer say?

PD is May, 2000, China

He never called INS. He\'s using his EAD.

His lawyer\'s going to appeal, even though the letter says the case can\'t be appealed.

I will keep updating the information on this matter. Please also let me know if there is any other solutions.

If you sent on Friday, it is possible that it may not have reached INS before monday. If you are current as of SUNday , there is no problem.

Here is the update for my previous post.

My friend reapplied 485 the next day he got the denial notice. According to his lawyer, that\'s the best thing to do since once you got denied your case is closed.

I would suggest anybody in this situation get contact with INS or your lawyer as soon as possible.

Hey folks,

One of our fellowmen, gopats had the same issue as us of PD issue and got approved recently. Wondering how many of you got lucky and how many are still waiting. If you are in the same boat as us of appling before your PD got current please respond back. It would help to keep in touch. My PD are 12/99 and RD is 6/23/01, waiting for approval.

Answers to questions:
My attorney filed my 485 2 days early. 6/28 instead of 7/01/2001
I was very nervous about the outcome but all went well by gods grace.

Maybe I was saved by the mail room problem that occured.

My approval/fingerprint notice all say my receipt date as 8/16/2002
