PD current for spouse if the primary applicant approved, correct?

Someone said if the primary applicant's 485 approved, then the spouse's PD becomes current no matter of cut-off date.

Need to know if this is correct, any sources?

That's not correct. The derivatives have the same PD of the primary applicant, and visa availability is governed by the cutoff dates whether the primary applicant has been approved or not.
