Did you can the VSC?
Did you call VSC just now? How do you know your NC is pending? Did you talk to a CS or an officer? I would not worry about it because it could just be that your case has not been updated with the NC informatin even if they haed received it. Now that our PDs are current they will go ahead and update our cases. Good Luck!!!

EB3 / India
PD - April 2000
I-140 - Nov' 2001
I-824 - Apr'2004 (For consular processing but changed back to I-485)
I-485 - Dec'2004
EAD - 2 renewal
AP - 2 renewal
Wife's NC has been cleared. Mine is still pending. I spoke to VSC before mine become current. Was told that still it is pending. Hope something good happens soon.

Today I got the letter from USCIS that my case has been delayed because of the Name Check.
Mine is LC Sub case(eb3 IND) but I have been in this race from last 8 years. My I-140 filing date is Jan 2003 and PD mentioned on I-140 is Sep 1999.
After raising two enquires I came to know today that its been pending because of the stupid NC. I am so upset to hear that.
Any clue on how should I contact the congressman or hurry it up?

You're not alone. My PD has been current since Feb and am still waiting for NC to be cleared after submitting it for almost two years. I asked my congressman's office to send an enquiry to FBI and see what this coudl do to move my case forward. I'll keep you guys posted.
Also I have a theory regarding FBI's NC procedure. Assuming FBI isn't as dumb as USCIS, then in order to clear the backlog, they should, for I-485 cases, only work on cases whose PD is current, and leave the other cases waiting.
Doesn't it make sense?

it depends. I do not think that FBI knows PD or Retrogression or ND. For them it is just that request date when request was submitted by BCIS, must be driving (and also how many hits they recieve).

Then, that's really inefficient. But does USCIS not have some process in place so they could inform FBI to prioritize on some cases? I had an impression that if your PD is not current they will not waste resources on it, which I assume includes FBI.

How to know if Name check is completed/pending?
can you please tell me how I can find if my name check is completed/pending?
The last LUD on my 485 is almost year ago with a message "FP results were received and processing resumed "
MY PD is current for over a month and processing date at VSC is 17 days beyond my pd.
