PD / 485 processing time question

Hi,
Does PD have any impact on 485 processing time? In other words, if two people applied for their 485 in 12/00, one of whom has a PD of 8/99 and the other having a PD of 5/00, would the 485 processing time be less in the first instance? Or is it the case that 485 processing is more or less a First-In-First-Out queue.

PD does count. I am one of those people who filed the I485 (EB3) in Aug 1999 when my PD (Feb 22, 1998) was temporarily current.Then the PDs regressed. I had my fingerprints done in March 2000. Since then nothing has happened. The dates will become current again next month. I am hoping my I485 will be taken up then.
