I am out of country and have taken my AP with me.
But what happened is that I took only one copy with me ( though i did get two)
I was under the impression they are just two copies of same AP
I was not knowing that one is for transporation line and other for port of entry.

Please let me know if there can be problem because of only carrying one copy or is it okay.

just take a photocopy of the sheet you have

and give the photocopy to the airlines if they insist on keeping a copy....later at the POE you can show the actual AP to the INS. relax...no problems...anyway you will be sent to secondary inspection and they will pull up your records and see that all is ok !

tt was right. Don't panic but keep the original at any cost to show here at the immigration. Make several copies of it and give it to the airline if they insist on having the document. Mostly airlines would just want to see your parole document but there were cases where they wanted to keep the document as well.

TO be on the safe side, ask some one from US to send the other copy of AP to you. When I returned, INS took the transportation line copy.

hero, nothing to worry abt.

1.airline will NOT ask for original, they will just want a photocopy

2. if u r re entering US on AP for the 1st time, then officer will ask for one copy (original) tell her/him that u only have one and give her a photocopy, no probs even if she wants to keep the original, she will give u a copy back.

3. but 99% of the times officer will keep a photocopy if u don't have both the originals, so don't worry, tell her when she asks u that u have carried just one and the otehr is at home with u

4. Don't even worry abt re entering on AP..it is the most simplest form and hassel free

5. u may be asked a q as to ' what qualifies u for a GC' .Ans that by saing that based on employment based petition, that's all
