PCC requirement in Packet 4

Gurus I just got my Packet 4 from NWD and here is what the instruction sheet says about PCC:
Two certificates must be obtained as follows: 1) A copy from your local police station and 2). A copy from your regional passport office.

I suppose (2) is what we get from Chicago consulate or New York consulate, I already have that. Now where do we get the (1) requirement? Does that local mean from India, I am confused. Please help.

You don't have to worry about the ..

... other part. Reading the same, I sent email to consulate regarding the same issue and got reply that since you are staying in US, you only need PCC from US Indian consulate/embassy. So don't worry about that.

I also check up and only PCC from Indian Consulate US is sufficient for guys staying in US.

PCC Help

Guys, For PCC from your NY Consulate, do you submitt your original Passports or a notorized copy will do. I spoke to a lady and she said a notorized copy will do but will need to come with the original once they have done the verification.

Further, if you need more than one PCC (more than one person), Can you pay the fees combinely?

1. you can send a notarized copy initially.
2. I think you can send a combined fee MO.

3. you have to go with /send original PP to pick up PCC.
