Hi CPers,

Do i need police clearence certificate to send packet 3?.
I-140 AD:eek:ct 3
NVC RD I140:eek:ct 15th.
Not received packet 3 yet.Any thing wrong or going in right path?
In my h1 job title is consultnat.
Do i have to fill the same title in DS230 part?.

For P3, you will not need PCC, but it's ok to apply for PCC since it takes 3 to 4 weeks to come.
P3 includes only DS230 partI, part II form which you can download from web site.
Try to call NVC and find out the status of your case. Once You get the case number you can send these forms.

I am going for family based CP.
I am in USA for about 5 years and on H1 right now.

do I need to provide all company related information as this is family based CP?

I have applied for PCC but it takes time, is it ok to get one from India or I have to have one from indian consulate here since I have been living in USA for 5 years.

My wife will be 7-8 months pregnant when we will travel from here to India for CP, does that matter as far as processing is concerned?

do we need SSN cards with us, as I have lost mine and applied for one but not received yet and my wife does not have one as she is on h4.

NVC new process confirmed

Hi Guys,

NVC not sending packet 3 right away.
For me NVC sent Fee Receipts only, and they stated that the packet3 will be mailed once ST cashes your checks.

Today i got receipts.

What is the procedure like? I got my I-140 approved on Oct 23 and I got my approval notice. What should I do now? would I be getting any notice from NVC asking me to pay the fees? Would really appreciate if you could brief about the procedures.

Congrats.
You will receive fee receipts for $335 per person.
You have to mail the fee to St louis.

How long does it take b4 I receive these fee receipts? Once I mail out the fees to St louis...what happens next? And how long does it take to get an interview at US consulate, Chennai after I mail out the fees?
 
It took 5 weeks to receipts from the date of 140 approval.
Later question i don't have answer, can any one.....???

Process after I140

You will receive fee recipt once your I140 got approve
submit fees to St. Louis
St Louis cashed ckeck
your lawer will receive instruction about that
send documents to Portsmouth directly.

I sent fee to STL on 5th nov.Probably it may take couple of weeks to receive p3.Did i answer ur questio??.

I don't about Sanfransisco consulate.
It does't matter which consulate, but the process usally takes 45 days.

Thanks for the info. Is there any way to expedite the process?.
PCC is only required at the time of the interview and not at the time of sending the packet 3 to the consulate, right?. Im considering AC-140.

The other question that I have is that why do we require the PCC from India?. Since almost everyone is applying from USA, shouldnt we get PCC from the local USA police station?.
Just a thought.

You are right, the PCC is required at the time of interview to the best of my knowledge.
You could get the PCC from india also.You don't have to apply for pcc in usa as every thing recorded in USA.

New Consular Processing Steps:
Step1: NVC in Portsmouth Receives Notice of I-140 Approval.
Step2: NVC in Portsmouth issues a fee bill to the lawyer.
Step3: Fee Bill is paid to the NVC in St. Louis.
Step4: NVC in St. Louis sends notice of payment to NVC in Portsmouth.
Step5: NVC in Portsmouth issues Packet-3 to the lawyer.
Step6: The lawyer files Packet-3 with NVC in Portsmouth.
Step7: Portsmouth reviews forms and forwards file to Consulate.
Step8: Consulate schedules the interview.
Step9: Consulate sends Packet-4, if the priority date is current.
