PCC for which Country?

In the "APPLICATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA" form, it asks us to specify

Police Clearance Certificate(PCC) For _________[Country]

I put in 'India' there. But when I went to submit the request at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, the person at the counter made it 'US'. Is that correct?

after doing it twice from Canada. I think it should be 'India'.. try to talk to an officer.. they may know..

Consulate is aboslutely right. It should be PCC for USA. I have filled it last month and was asked clearance to enter which country.

Thanks for the clarification, vmanish. My interview is on July 25th at Mumbai consulate.

Mine is on July 25 too.. when are you planning to turn in your papers to VFS?

I will give my papers on July 16th

Yeah me too.. Except for the medical.. which I will get done on the 16th..

Will VFS kep my passport though for all these days?

OK got my answer.. finally received a scanned interview letter from the consulate and it says that VFS will return the passport to me..

VFS will barcode your passport and return it.
Note that you should not count on getting your passports back the same day as your interview.

THe PCC should be for US.
Dont need the medical to submit to VFS.
