Hi All,

I intend to get PCC from Indian Consulate in New York.

Should I go there in person or should I mail the documents?

If I decide to mail the documents what should I send?

- Filled Misscelaneous form with photo
- Attested copy of passport
- Attested copy of H1 approval
- A draft for the required fees

Is this enough? When it gets done I intend to go there in person and get the necessary stamping on my passport. Is it alright to
do this way?

I would be thankful if any of you can share your experience in getting PCC from Indian Consulate in US (New York).

Thanks,
Bikash.

Mailing is the way to go... You've got all the documents covered. When they call u (or u call them in 45 days) you go with original passport(s) and collect the PCC. Submit pp at 9 AM and collect after 4 PM.

oh.. and include a cover letter indicating that you will come in person AFTER it is issued and give your contact phone number for them to call you once it is ready !!

Hi Moulin Rouge,

When do you nee to submit the PCC.
When you send the Packet 3 or during the time of interview?

Thanks,
Bikash.

you need the PCC at the time of interview (if u r going to India. Montreal is different).. Best is to apply now with copies of passport and then collect if when r need it. The consulate will 'issue' (with that day's date) it on the day you go with original passports so you dont lose anything by applying early and collecting late.
