I am starting this new thread to discuss about the thing which started in other thread having not so clear description in subject line.
The link for that is

Basically it was about payment of $10 each for the petition for processing delay in EB2-140 at VSC.
People may post their ideas and may take initiative for the same, using this thread. Thanks

If filing petition was the solution it would have worked in the first place itself. Rather we should request INS/BCIS/USICS to start premium processing for I140 by charging $1000 per application. The number of Applications have grown so many due to 245i that
the only way to speed the process is premium processing...
Just my thoughts...

I doubt that $1000/- charge will work for many. I-140 is employer petition so employer had to file for premium processing and I doubt that many employer will do that as they do have seldom any interest in getting 140 approved early.
In my case my employer did not do concurrent filing even though I offered to pay all expences for 485 processing.

Premium processing

Even if every employer does not want to pay, I'm sure there would be many who are willing to pay. USCIS can use this fund to augment their workforce to speed up the process.

This means that the backlog in general will be reduced, not only for the ones who go the premium way.

Cheers!

Looks like there are not many takers for the idea of petition for EB2-I140 delay.

But requesting INS for premium processing may also not give any result. If INS is working slow due to fund shortage, they could have easily increased fee. The only thing that might work if they get pressured or their inefficiency may be highlighted.
Just my thoughts.

We are contemplating class action law suit against USCIS for slow GC processing(I-485). We discussed this with Rajiv and we are in the final stages of formalizing the fund collection procedure. Once we are through with this we'll fight for all of our problems.

140 Delay- Petition

I think petition would be a better option than asking for premium processing.
We can'nt ask for Processing as it is upto service centers whether they want it or not. But we can always ask for a reasion for the delay and file a petition. The petition would highlight how the service centers are working. So my vote is for Petition.

EB2 140 at VSC taking 534 days!

Give a thought again for EB2-I140 petition after seeing VSC dates for EB2 as 05/28/2003.
This means EB2 is 534 days behind current date. This is even delayed from online message which says 90 days to 485 days.

I am surely comfortable with $30/- for petition.
Any person related to legal profession, in this forum, may through more light on the feasibility of the petition.
But I would request other persons in favour of petition should post their thoughts in this forum (with suggested amount) so that someone may take initiative for petition soon.

I140-EB2, Delay - Petition

I'm comfortable with paying $30. But how many people interested in ?? How much the total Petition will cost including attorney fee?
Any Idea?

I140-EB2, Delay - Petition

I would'nt mind paying that amount too. Will there be a single petition for all the categories of 140, if thats not the case I guess we are not that big in number for this kind of petition....
