Pay on H1

My H1 is approved and starts on Oct 1st. How long can i be in status without getting paid on H1.

When you are in H1 you must be under your sponser payroll. One or two weeks not in pay roll OK, but not in months. If you feels it is going to be long time before going in to pay roll get change h1 to h4 if you are eligible.
