Went for the stamping today to Newark in the midst of a white-out.

Reached at 9:00 am, there were hardly 12 people ahead of us (due to the snowstorm perhaps).

Showed passports, turned in the approval notices(courtesy copies), two photos each, EADs, APs, I-94s.

Whole thing was over in about half an hour.
Asked when we could expect the plastic card to arrive and the officer said 6~12 months.

I feel good! as James Brown once said :)

Congratulations for your approval and stamping! Hope you will get your plastic card soon.

I believe that you might have moved from TX to NJ since you went to newark for your stamping. If yes, my case also similar to yours.

Can you please tell me which center send (TSC or VSC) you the approval notice ?

Did they mention where to go for stamping ?

I live in North Jersey. If I get my approval, where do I need to go for stamping (newark or any local ASC)

We moved from Atlanta to NJ before applying for I-140 in 2000.

The approval notice came from Mesquite, TX and it asked us to go to Newark for stamping. It will most certainly be the case for you when you get your approval.

I hope your approval comes thru soon.

My case has been approved on 27-Feb-2004. I am waiting for my approval notice. As you may know, I moved from TX to NJ and live in North Jersey. Could you please answer some of my questions below:

1. How long does it take to get the approval notice ? Is it OK to go for stamping with courtesy copy ?

2. As you have mentioned, I probably go to Newark for stamping. Did approval notice mention the date and time for GC stamping on the passport ?

3. Please write your experience with from the date of approval to plastic card arrival.
