Passports stamped at Newark INS office

Today my wife, son and I got our passports stamped. We were told green cards will arrive in 6 to 10 months. It has been a great relief after four years of hard time. I survived two company mergers, one severance notice, and 3 I-140 approvals (2 of them were approved after a year). This site has been a great source of information on immigration matters. I wish good luck to all visitors to this site.

My GC deatils are as follows

 EB3(INDIA)/ PD-Jan,1997 / RD-8/5/1999 / ND-8/23/1999 / FP-10/12/00
 Approved on 11/24/00.

 Good Luck

Congratulations! Please help!
My family will get the passports stamped tomorrow. How old is your son? Did he really need to go to INS? Did he need the photos and fingerprints? Thanks.

What are the documents we need to carry when go for stamping?. Do we need to schedule any appointment with INS office ?

My son is 8 years old. I took him to INS and and got his passport stamped. No photos and finger prints for children. Without their presence INS will not stamp their passports. For travel purposes children do need stamping in passports.

Good luck.

Documents needed are clearly mentioned in 485 approval notices. You need to carry 2 immigration photos, passports, I-94, EAD card if any and the original approval notice. For stampings you need to go on Wednesdays between 8AM and 12PM.
