Passport validity

Hi all,

I am going for a short trip overseas, when I come back there will be a week before my passport expires, is that ok? does it have to be 6 months valid or it has only to be valid at time of entry, I am GC holder.

Technically, you don't even need a passport to enter the US. The GC is all that is needed. The airlines usually require a valid passport, though. Since your passport is still valid, you should be fine.

Suppose if I don't renew my passport and I have green card, will it cause problem in general

and what about naturalization.
