Passport/TN Renewal

My TN will expire in May 2007 and will soon renew it. However, I just sent this morning my Passport to Canada for renewal as it will expire in early April this year, and it would take at least 9 weeks for the processing. Would there be a problem when the USCIS finds out that my passport has expired? I will be attaching a copy of the receipt from the US Postal Service to my TN documents to show them that I have my Passport being renewed.

USCIS does not need your Cdn passport to renew TN, so the fact that the copy you sent is expiring means nothing.
