Passport Stamping Question

i received a courtesy copy of the approval notice for me and my wife yesterday. my question is can i use this to get the passposrt stamped or do i have to get the original notice from my attorney (who does not seem to get it till 10 to 15 days have passed).

please note that i am based in chicago and input from anybody w/passport stamping experience in chicago will help.

Santhosh Kumar,
You can very well go for stamping with courtesy copy. You don\'t have to wait for original approval notice. I got it done at Portland last week with my courtesy copy.

Santhosh Kumar,
You need the following documents.
1. Passport with a few blank pages.
2. All I94\'s (including the ones you got it along with H1B approval notices)
3. 2 immigration photos
4. All EAD\'s
5. All Advance Paroles
6. Approval notice (original or courtesy copy)

To be on the safer side, I took our birth certificates, marriage certificates too. But they never asked for them. If you need more details, pls look at my posting in this forum "Stamped at Portland, OR" dated 5/2/01.
