Passport Stamping Question

Hi, My kids are below 14 years of age. Recently our I-485 is approved and we have to go for stamping our passports. As per the approval notice, the green cards
for kids will be directly mailed to us. As per our attorney, we need not take the kids to INS but can get their passports stamped by taking the approval notices and
some document such as their birth certificate, to prove that we are their parents. Based on your experience, can someone tell us what we should do? Thanks in advance.

Take the kid\'s passports, birth certificates with you and try to get the passports stamped at the INS. You have nothing to lose by doing that.

ND_10AUG1999,

Thanks for the response. I would like to know whether stamping is required if their cards are mailed directly and if anyone has taken his/her kids for stamping.
AC holders, please response.
Thanks
