Passport stamping question, please respond

Is there a passport validity requirement for stamping. I am planning on getting my passport stamped tomorrow. My passport is expiring on Feb 15, 2005.
1. Should I wait and get a new passport or it doesnt' matter.

2. Would USCIS stamp a passport that is valid for a little less than 3 months only.

3. What if I stamp it and then get a new passport, would that cause any problem in teh future.

Since my passport is only valid for 3 months, I guess I dont have a choice of stamping the old passport if they require 6 months validity.

How can i find out if USCIS will be open next friday for stamping since its day after thanksgiving. I am in New york and would need to go to Federal plaza in NY.

also my approval letter says to come on friday, i am guessing they only do stamping on fridays
 
get a new passport

I suggest that you first go to Indian Consulate and get a new passport. You will get it the same day. Once you get that, go to Federal Plaza for stamping on that brand new passport.

By the way, I am going to Federal Plaza on 26 Nov. Its open.
 
called toll free # TODAY, they said no need for passport renewal!

TALKED TO MY LAWYER NOW SHE SAID TAKE 3 PICS IF PASSPORT EXPIRED STATES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE NEW NOTICE!
