Gurus can you please answer to my Qs?

What papers I need besided EAD, passport, and I-94, do I need passport size photos also? Do I need W2 and last pay checks also?

Actually I have moved from Akron to Texas, I am planning to come to Akron for stamping. Can I tell my change of Address during stamping or it may cause problems.

Can anyone tell how many days it take for Approval to come after your GC is approved?

Tx in Advance

Get ur passport stamp like a obedient child; don't say anything or u might have trouble. Ur GC maybe denied. Once u have it done then u can file Change Of Address thro AR-11(search the forum for that)

7-10 business days(start counting from next monday 'cos guys will be counting turkeys for four days

THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION PLEASE DON'T SUE ME :D :D

If you are not giving your new address how is he going to get his card? It will not forwarded.

I guess he should get his passport stamped at his old Akron address and not say anything about address during stamping or he might have trouble or his GC maybe denied. Once he has done his stamping. then he is SAFE and he can file Change Of Address thro AR-11 so that he gets his plastic card at his Texas address

Comeon man are you kidding why his GC will be denied

AR11 has to be filed within a certain number of days of changing address (not sure what the exact number is). So if this rule has not been followed, it may be a problem if someone out there is looking to find fault or is in a bad mood. Joke of the matter is that although I filed AR11, NSC had no idea. So here is what I would do if I were you.
(1) Send AR11 change of address form rightaway (or after you receive approval BUT before going for passport stamping)
(2) When you go for passport stamping, tell them when you submitted AR11 but make sure they take down the new address as well. Please do not depend on AR11 change of address form to have your GC forwarded to you.
As mentioned before, I had to call NSC to get them to update my address even after I submitted AR11 (that one goes to Washington DC). This way you will ahve complied with all rules when you go for GC stamping.

You'd need to take all the documents including in the document sent by USCIS.

And also, one of my friend went to get his passport stamping done, he was asked for telphone bills, apt lease doc.. and couple other that were not listed in the document that he had received. He told'em that he didnt have any of those documents. The officer didnt cause him any trouble. He just wanted to see if they brought some more docs or not.

Cheers!

During passport stamping, the officer asked for:

1. The approval notice. The courtesy copy works, but I brought both just in case.
2. The passport. Should be unexpired of course.
3. A second picture ID. I used my driver's liscence (note: don't know why they asked for this. I wouldn't have though it was necessary).
4. 2 Immigration styles pictures. You can probably get it at the office, but it's cheaper to get them from a drugstore (i.e. Walgreens).
5. I-94: they took the copy stapled to my passport and kept it.

I brought both of my H1 visa approval notices as well as my EAD, but they did not ask to see any of them and therefore I did not volunteer. Some people have mentioned that you were supposed to turn in your EAD. I'm keeping mine as a souvenier.
