passport stamping - # of days limit

After 485 approval , is there a limit of # of days within which one shall go to get passport stamped or it could be anytime like 3-4 weeks.

I think there is no time limit. The main purpose of stamping is it starts the process of Plastic Green Card ID for you.

didn't they stamp your passport after 5 days or so after an interview ???

i am just trying to figure out why they didn't stamped..???

in your previous post you said they didn't approve it after an interview. then 5 days later they approved it..means you just received an approval letter straight from la ins office ....

please kindly clear me on it...

I don't think there is any time limit for it. I believe stamp is not necessary if you don't need to travel, change jobs or you have to prove somewhere that your 485 has been approved, Its upto you . This is theoretical and practically you should do it ASAP.

In approval letter also it does not say you must get your pp stamp.

am i right ?
