Hi Gurus,
We got 485 approval today. We have tickets booked for India on 1stDec.
Planning to get the passport stamped before travel..
1. Anybody has experience in getting pp stamped with just email approval?
2. Where to go in philly area?
3. Is there a chance of getting appt w/o infopass, if we go walkin early..
4. We have a valid H1 stamped.. is it OK to use that for travel if we cant get
pp stamped?

Thanks in advance.

Tagoregc,
I doubt if there would be any appts through infopass before 1st. I made an appt 4 days ago and got it for 30th nov. Try your luck. If you get it well and good, else try a walk-in or try contacting senators office for a quicker appointment! Good luck.

Waiting!

Hey tagoregc

I got my passport stamped with the print out of email approval.

The officer at USCIS was quite helpful no trouble at all.

Infact My spouse did not even have a passport and the officer gave her a temporary card with same stamp that goes in the passport in lieu of passport stamp

Do NOT leave without stamp. U have waited this long and don't take any chances.

Try infopass website after mid night. If u r lucky u get early appointment.
I was looking yesterday for newark and I did see available appt for today. I didn't take it because I don't have the notice yet.

Tagoregs,

I got my passport stamped in Philly with the courtesy copy. You should get it in a week after the approval. Also, I showed up at the office without infopass appointment. The guard outside asked for my Infopass appointment but in that argument I told him the approval notice DOES NOT say anything about an appointment. All it says is go to the office during the weekdays and get it stamped. He let me in with no problems but had to wait about an hour as they give priority to the appointments. Hope this helps.

thanks
i will go and give a try.
