Hi,

My H1B trasfer case has just been approved, and I am planning to go to
one of the U.S. consulates in canada. Looks like i need to make an prior
appointment via telephone or website. Has anyone experience any problems
at these consulates for passport stamping of H1B transfer cases ? What
are the chances of rejection given that I am from India (and thus
considered as a third country national ?!). Any particular document(s)
one must carry to the consulate to avoid rejection ?

Any advice from experienced persons is useful.

Thanks,

WNJXD

H1 visa

Recently I just got my H1B and I\'m thinking going home to visit my parents. My lawyer told me that better not go home, because the process of H1B will take 1 month. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

anybody with similar experience ?

Hi,

Well, I am quite prepared now compared to the time of my first posting.
I mean, the lists of documents, online appointment form, etc. But I
was wondering if you guys out there had any adverse experience in
getting the H1B stamp.

Mine is a case where INS says that I failed to maintain my
non-immigrant status. Yeah, I had a gap of 71 days after my previous
employer went out of business till i get the receipt notice for this case. So, the INS has approved my case, but rejected the extension of
the stay.

Now does anybody know similar cases where the beneficiery was rejected
outright when he/she went to a US consulate in Canada (or say Mexico)?
OR with similar background, but still got the visa stamped ? Basically
I am looking for ways to make my case as \'genuine\' possible :-]

Thanks, guys.
