Passport stamping for TN

I got my TN approved, but no stamping or any entry on the passport. During previous TN occasions, I had given a physical I-94 or a stamp but not sure if the stamping has been discontinued. I was told to access I-94 online which I can.

Question: Do I need to carry anything i.e. a copy of I-94 etc. along with the passport while traveling to the US?

Carry? That is a bit of overkill, but if you are travelling near the US borders it might be useful. Technically you should always have your passport and proof of legal presence on you, but that is rarely enforced. Your call.

However, you do need to look up online and print a paper copy of the electronic I-94 (a) to present to your sponsor for their records, and (b) for your own records.

Thank you for your inputs.

I have always had a physical copy of my i-94 and a hand written note mentioning the employer name and the TN category in my passport.

With the new TN there is no physical note or a stamp on my passport, and the online i-94 only mentions the validity date of TN, hence the curiosity/confusion abt what should i carry along with my passport when i travel in/out.

A few months back when i travelled to to US i was asked at the airport to show a proof of my visa/status and i pointed thr officer to the i-94 card attached. Not sure this time should i print one and Carry with me?

Re-read what I said. You need a copy of that I-94, for you and your employer. Definitely when travelling cross-border you should have a copy, so that at least they can quickly look you up.
