We are planning o go to Charlotte, NC for stamping soon.

Recently the INS office in Charlotte moved from Woddlawn Rd to Tyvola Rd . However my approval notice has the old Woodlawn Rd. address as the office to get stamping done.

Can somebody who has recently stamped their passports in Charlotte, NC clarify which the right address for stamping is?

Thanks!!

I live very close to Tyvola Office and my friend had his stemping 4 months ago, Do not worry they are very friendly and they do not ask many questions, I am telling you because 4 of my friend had got there stemping done and each time diffrent officer. :)

Need experience

I am planning to go to Charlotte office tomorrow morning. The approval notice says they are open from 9:00 to 12:00, and web site says the office is open at 7:30am. Should I be there really early? I live in Raleigh.
Any experience?

Thanks

My Friends and Co-worker went about 6:30 AM and they were 5th in line and Line get realy big after 7:30 AM. I think this is the only center in North carolina.

Went to Charlotte for stamping and this is my story:

Because of traffic near Charlotte downtown(uptown) we reached INS at 8:00... This is a new office and looks very nice for a government office. (Old wine in a new bottle as we soon found out).
There was a long line and the waiting room was already packed so we went there expecting a considerable delay. There were 9 counters, but i never saw more than one or 2 of them open and come lunch time things slow down even further.

We met an IIO at 12:30 after having waited for almost 5 hours.
The fun didnt end there, after we submitted our passports and signed, fingerprinted for our card we were told that they had to run background checks on all cases and asked us to come back after an hour. Finally when we had our passports stamped it was 2:00 PM. So guys if u go to Charlotte INS after 7:30 am expect to spend a good part of the day there.

Our current APs, EADs were collected, dont know if this is normal but the officer asked for them. Apart from these and our passports, photos, app. notices they didnt ask us fo anything else.

I guess i shouldnt complain too much since i got the results i wanted.

Good luck everyone

Stamped yesterday

My wife and I went to Charlotte yesterday.
After 2 and half hours driving from Cary, we arrived there at 5:30am and already two cars there, but no people stood in front of the door. I stood there for a while, people start to come the line. The security officers came to work at 6:30am. They came out to call the people who have appointments can go in first at 7:00am, After several calls, we went into the building at 7:30am. Like tscMarathon said there were no more than 3 officers work at the same time. We were called at 8:00am (No. one called), and finished in 10 minutes. Left the building at 8:13am.

Good luck to everybody.

Planning to go for stamping in Charlotte in the next few bus. days, just a few questions for people who have done it recently:

1) Please confirm that Tyvola Rd is indeed the new office. My notice gives the Woodlawn Rd address, but quite a few people say that one needs to go to Tyvola Rd. Please confirm this.

2) Please confirm that they will accept the courtesy copy of I-485 approval notice

3) Please share your experiences as to what documents other than the approval notice, the photos, the passport, and the I-94 you were requested to provide.

I'd really appreciate your answers. Since the trip is a 3 hour drive for me and a vacation day needs to be used for it, I would really hate to have to do it again because of missing/incomplete documentation.
