Passport Stamping after Approval

I hope there is still people on the board that can answer my questions..

1. Is it necessary to have your passport stamped? What would the purpose be if we are not going to travel during the year. Isn't the copies of the approval enough evidence?

2. Is it necessary for the whole family to go for stamping, or could I go on my own and get all the passports stamped?

Any ideas or comments..

Thanks for your help

PS Again congrats to all who has been approved!!

1. Don't know
2. Yes all family members should go. You have to do fingerprinting while stamping the passport.

You MUST go IN PERSON. That's the time you get your green card ordered.

The approval notice is not a green card and does NOT guarantee a green card, though I never hear of anyone getting denied when doing stamping.
