Passport stamped??

Hi,
Could somebody let me know if the Visa officer would stamp the passport with immigration visa right after the interview if the applicant passes the interview?
Also, how would I get my wife's passport stamped since she is not able to appear for the interview? My interview date is fast approaching, please adivce!!

You'll get noticed right after the interview that you've passed or not, but the immigration officer will not issue your landing paper at that time. It's about 2 or three months after your interview you can get your landing paper, because they need time finishing all your application. My friends all got their landing paper around two months later after the interview.

Can you please tell me your application time-line?
because I am waiting for my interview too, how long does it take since you got your interview required letter to your interview date? where is your interview?

I got my interview required letter this early Feb., just wanna know when I'll get my interview! BTW, my interview is in seattle.

I applied in June 2001. Got first letter in May 2002 that I need an interview, got another letter in August 2002 with same context as the last one that I need an interview and I have to wait for 7-10 months for the interview call.
In Feb 2003, I got a letter to re submit my application with new forms. I sent everything back by the end of March 2003. In first week of May, I got my interview date. My interview is scheduled in the third week of August 2003 in Detroit.

V-Tec, did your friends just got their visas or its a matter of past? I am done with my medicals and somebody told me, now they stamp visa on your passport right away.
Let me know if you have some info.

I really don't think they will give you the visa right after the interview. One of my friends applied in Aug. 2000, interview in Sep. 2001 in new york, he got his landing paper in Jan. 2002.
Another friend applied in Mar. or Apr. 2001, he got his landing paper in Mar. 2002 two months after the interview.

I don't understand why your processing time is so long,
anyway, good luck!

Seems like I cann't finish my interview this year.
