We got our passports stamped today in Boston. I wanted to thank everyone for all their help and advice.
Out of curiosity, today while getting our passports stamped, the officer at the counter basically took everything from me and my wife (AP, EAD, I-94, Approval copy, I-89 with fingerprint/signature) and stapled them together (separate for my wife and me) and stamped our passports. I was under the impression that they would fill something out and/or ask us whether we wanted our GC's to be sent to the same address (even though I did on my own ask her if the GC would be mailed to the same address as the I-485 approval). Is this normal?
Also, is there a timeframe by which we should get our SSNs changed without the authorization to work clause? I assume I can just go to my local SSN office, right?
Thanks.
