passport stamped

stamping details

first of all here are my case details

PD: 10/00
ND: 9/27/01
RD: 9/27/01
AD: 2/25/04
Stamping: 3/11/04

Bizzare part is that the website still shows that my(our) finger prints recieved and the processing has begun .. blah blah...

We went in yesterday at 8AM and got a token. The office was extremely slow. By noon yesterday we weren't even close to our number and I had to go to a meeting. My wife stayed back and I left. My wife got her passport stamped yesterday at 1 PM and she talked the officer into giving a chit for me to go today.

So today I walked in at 9 AM, went straight to that officer and got my passport stamped. Was out by 9:20 AM. The officer looked at my pictures and asked me to redo them without eye glasses. There is a photographer in the next room and I got my new pics in 3 minutes literally. I went back to the counter and the lady by the time had already stamped my passport and everything. She took my finger print and asked me to sign a form. I was in and out in 20 minutes.

But my advice if you are going to this center is that you should avoid Mondays and Thursdays. If you have time constraints, go by 6 AM and you can be out by 8:30 /9 AM.

THanks,
Redhat

Thanks

thanks redhat to share your stamp details.
About photos, do we have to take photos without eye glasses?

I think so

Thats seems to be the case here. I was wearing eye glasses in All my photos so far for immigration purposes and I told the IIO about the same. She said that for GC, it is different. So you might as well take pictures without glasses.

Is this photographer with USCIS? Does that mean you can take the pictures at the local center? Do you think they have those at other local offices?

If that's the case, might as well take the pictures there, you know they won't refuse them ;-)

not sure if the photographer is a part of USCIS

But it did appear like that though. Becauase they were sending people there to get pictures. But this phogropher has an office inside the same building (next room) infact. So it was very convenient and cheaper than a kinkos/walmart.

I am not sure if other offices has this faciiltiy. I remember one guy in Dallas who has an office very close to the immigtation office (not in the building).

Thanks,
redhat.
